Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were spotless and spacious, seeming recently remodeled with all necessary amenities like a hairdryer, tea, coffee facilities, and a wide range of UK TV channels. The service was friendly and accommodating, offering quick check-in and fresh milk upon request. The location was perfect, allowing easy access to downtown RKV and notable attractions like the Harpa hall and old town. The dining experience was outstanding, providing a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. Overall, a great value for money but lacking in some minor organization aspects.
I stayed at Reykjavik4you apartments which were much more modern, spacious, and most importantly cleaner than this hotel. The room with a double bed was on the back side of the hotel, so we didn't have a view of anything but the construction site behind the hotel. The hotel staff personally recommended it as she had stayed there at 12 noon. They are friendly, approachable, incredibly friendly, and helpful in coordinating any travel requests we had.
I found the hotel to be a mixed experience. The rooms were fine with all the necessary amenities, but there was noise from construction sites. On the bright side, the rooms had fantastic views of the sea and were well-maintained daily.
The hotel offers rooms with a Victorian-era decor that provide a fabulous view down to the sea. The cleanliness is outstanding, but some areas could use modern updates. The service is attentive and swift, with helpful staff who go the extra mile. Its central location provides easy access to both the ocean and the city's attractions.
The hotel offers a cozy stay with quiet and comfortable rooms, even though they are a bit tiny and lacking in decor. The service was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making check-in swift and providing excellent local recommendations. The location is convenient, with a 'mountain retreat' feel right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore on foot. The dining experience was appetizing with a good range of choices, but breakfast selections could be improved. Overall, it's a value-for-money option for a pleasant stay.
The hotel has a superb location minutes from the coastline and close to major landmarks. The rooms are cozy with a harbor view, but the top floor rooms are small with skylight windows. The service was very helpful with friendly staff answering all our questions. The buffet-style dining was fantastic, offering a variety of options. The hotel is well-equipped with facilities and amenities, though lacking space for belongings at times.
The hotel offers cozy and basic rooms, perfect for a relaxing break with great value for money. The service is extremely friendly and helpful, with added perks like hot soup in the evening. Its location is ideal for explorers, near the shore promenade and main shopping street. Dining options are good, including the chance to make your own waffles. The facilities are well-organized and plentiful.
The hotel offers a great location with easy access to the city center. The rooms are clean, warm, but slightly dated and cramped. The service is efficient and polite, though impacted by construction work. The location is friendly but limited in the evenings. The dining options are mainly continental, with some variety but more cold than hot options.
